The 2018 Big Give was a BIG success! Together, we raised $28,426… three times more than last year. A BIG thank you to our donors and volunteers!
Martha Spoor was a remarkable and beloved teacher at Alamo Heights Junior School, a teacher whose students and their families will never forget. As a fitting tribute to her memory, the Alamo Heights School Foundation has established something special for budding writers.
We are honored to announce the eighth annual Martha Spoor Summer Writing Workshop, to be held this summer, in which 15-20 participants will meet for 5 days. They will sharpen the skills we already have, learn some new writer’s craft, and enjoy producing and sharing new pieces together as a writing group. The final day will involve a celebration of works in progress and finished works.
If you are a current AHJS sixth, seventh or eighth grader, you are enthusiastically encouraged to apply.
