Event Description

Overview:

A Heights Huddle is an opportunity to share the mission of the Alamo Heights School Foundation (AHSF) and garner support for teachers in all schools throughout the Alamo Heights Independent School District (AHISD).

Invite your friends, colleagues, and neighbors in a laid-back setting, where they’ll enjoy light refreshments while learning more about how they can play a larger role in partnering with the AHSF to support teacher salaries and innovative programs in AHISD!

Each Huddle is attended by a representative from the Foundation and the District, such as a teacher or principal, who will share about their role and provide information to parents and community members about a subject. Past Huddles have focused on college readiness, kindergarten readiness, transitions between schools, and curriculum overviews.

When:

Heights Huddles will be hosted on a weekday between Monday and Friday. Weekend Huddles are subject to availability. Hosts will select a week and day to hold their Huddle, and will choose between three Huddle times (specific time frame will depend on host availability/preference):

  • Morning Coffee (ex: 9:00 am – 10:30 am)
  • Lunch (ex: 11:30 am – 1 pm)
  • Happy Hour (ex: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm)

If you would like to host a Heights Huddle in your home, contact Katy Raynes, Administrative Assistant, at kraynes@ahisd.net or by phone at (210) 832-5957.
